Firm must have solid inventory of pending PI and related contingency fee cases.
Preference for firms with several cases in their portfolio that are expected to settle within the coming year to 18 months.
Firm must operate as a separate legal business entity (not as a sole proprietorship).
No prior UCC-1 lien against firm's fees ahead of the proposed financing (Note: prior loans with UCCs can be paid off with new loan in many cases).
All required tax filings should be current.
No existing liens, judgments or past bankruptcies.
No history of serious bar discipline.
